It brings back some great memories and happy times, it was quite emmotional looking back to those days. although i have been away from ashington for some 27 years im so proud to call myself an ashington lad. as ive always told people its gods country. well done mik. yours ANDY

MY HUSBAND WAS A MINER IN ASHINGTON AND I KNOW YOU MUST HAVE THOUSANDS OF PICTURES AND WONDERED WHEN YOU WOULD BE ADDING TO THE SITE, HIS NAME IS HUGH GALLACHER BORN IN ASHINGTON WAS A MEMBER OF THE 5/3/85 CLUB WORKED AT ASHINGTON AND ELLINGTON BUT WAS IN ASHINGTON TILL IT CLOSED .
